Whilst the traps may be pretty quiet there’s still loads of leaf miners to be found.
Spent two hours leaf mine searching at SBBO on 27th Nov and returned just shy of 60 species. This included two Bay specialities: Stigmella zelleriella and Phyllonorycter quinqueguttella.
In addition to which, Ocnerostoma piniariella also looks like a very good record (confirmed from pupal morphology).

Hi, This is fascinating. If you feel like venturing out again can I accompany you?

Anytime, Ian. Although time is fast running out for most leaf miners this year.
